Let's see, what has been going on over here?
At our new place we have started out with a few new "rules," I guess they are more likes guidelines for ME more than anything. I sat down and made over our budget, allowing myself only enough money to pay the bills, gas and no more than $100 a week on food. For a mama who doesn't eat things like casseroles or eggs and has a few too many food allergies (and on top of everything is pregnant) that is not the easiest of tasks. We love our fresh produce and bakery bread so I have had to be careful. We have also decided against having any cable or internet at the apartment. That is one reason I haven't been on the blog too much. But saving $100 dollars a month on something that just robs my attention away from God and my family an any other productive thing I could be doing is a win win in my mind.
I don't miss the television at all and only a few times have I wished I had the internet, but mainly because I have needed to check some billing statements and such.
If any of you have seen it, I made a book filled with the pictures from last year. It's kind of like a scrapbook but way better. I don't waste money on printing out the pictures or buying all the little things you need to actually to make a decent scrapbook. So I have caught up on this year's pictures and have been working on making versions in Spanish for my in-laws. My mother-in-law doesn't have many pictures of Joaquin so we have decided to make a book for each of his years so that they don't miss everything that happens.
I also bought a bunch of books. I had made a reading list while I was still in school of the ones I wanted to read when I had some free time and now I finally do. I think I will be needing some more titles of good books, because these won't last me until when the baby comes. Just in the past four weeks I have ordered half a dozen books and already finished some.
My belly is growing and I promise to have belly pictures up ASAP. I am not on my mac right now so I don't have the pictures with me. Keep an eye open for them though!
